Au Pair in Belgium

The conditions of the Au-Pair program in Belgium are the best among all the countries that accept our Au pairs. This beautiful country offers an amazing experience in the lovely (often already proven and well-trusted) host families; located in the heart of Europe, which unlocks a lot of travel options; plus, it gives a wonderful opportunity to learn or improve your French, Flemish, German, and English.

Program requirements:

• Age from 18 to 26 years (the registration is open for candidates younger than 25).
• Good knowledge of French, English, or Flemish (French A1 + English B2 is one of the best language combinations to start with).
• Love for children, sociability, honesty, punctuality, and responsibility
• A driver's license and driving experience is welcome but not a prerequisite for participating in the Belgian program.

Program terms & conditions:

• The duration of the program is 12 months.
• The candidate is expected to help with childcare and light housework 30 hours per week.
• Live-in stay (the host family provides a separate room), board, and lodging.
• At least 1 day off per week.
• 10 days of paid vacation per year.
• Compulsory insurance (paid by the host family).
• French or Flemish language courses are paid for by the host family and there is a unique opportunity to learn a foreign language by immersing yourself in the language environment.
• Pocket money: 450 euros per month.
